After much research for an extended family holiday for my wife's 30th birthday I found Casita Tranquila. Before our holiday contact with Hazel was really easy. I found her very helpful and knowledgeable about the local region. Some of our party flew in to Alicante which is closer to Moraira. We however flew into Valencia. After collecting our hire car we began the journey. Hazel provided comprehensive directions from both airports. There was no problems whatsoever. We took the toll road (AP7) and it was a pleasant drive. It took about 1hr 30 mins and the toll was 8-9 euros. Casita Tranquila is in a quiet residential area of villas. We were surprised how large it was. There was 7 adults and 3 children in our party. We found the villa perfect for all our needs. There are two kitchens, three bathrooms and 2 living rooms both with Sky TV so plenty of facilities for everyone. The whole family commented on what a great find the villa was. There is a large pool, plenty of sunbeds, a purpose built BBQ, bar area with a fridge and plenty of space for dining. Upstairs there is a terrace that gets plenty of sun aswell as a lovely sunroom if it all gets a bit too much. Casita Tranquila is about a 10 minute walk from Moraira town centre. The family also commented on what an ideal location Moraira was. It is essentially a fishing town turned tourist town. There is plenty for visitors to enjoy but it is still clean and unspoilt. There's a lovely clean beach. There is also a market every Friday and I would highly recommend the cheap fresh fruit. There are plenty of restuarants and ice cream shops. My Wife's birthday was the day after we arrived, which didn't leave much time for local research. Hazel recommended a fabulous restaurant (Del Mar) which was right by the Marina. This was perfect and we followed it up with some cocktails at Captain Andy's (try the Mojitos) When we weren't eating out we were more than happy with BBQ's back at the villa. There is plenty of great local produce from the supermarkets, which are only a short drive away. Alcohol is also very cheap and we enjoyed lots of local red wine and sangria. We made two trips to Benidorm for Aqualandia and MundoMar. We enjoyed both and it was only a 30 minute drive, again along the toll road. The villa was perfect, the location ideal and we all had a relaxing holiday. We will certainly consider Moraira and in particular Casita Tranquila for future holidays.

Our party of 8 adults and 2 young children arrived on 25 & 26 July 2008. Our first impressions were that the villa was even more spacious than we had expected from the description we had received. It was extremely well equipped right down to the microwave oven. We particularly liked the rather cute BBQ area which even contained a fridge for all those essential drinks. The BBQ was used on many occasions. The walk into Moraira was 12 minutes as described. The small town of Moraira was delightful. There was plenty of shops, a well stocked supermarket and an abundance of fine restaurants and bars. One of our favourites was the Olive Tree Restaurant which did a fixed price menu with childrens' menu as well. One thing that struck me was that the local people we met were both friendly and helpful. Back to the villa we found that the property was clean and well maintained, and the one or two minor hiccups we had early in our stay were very soon put right. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to a potential holidaymaker as everything was as described in the brochures and gave us the quiet and peaceful holiday we were looking for.

An amazing week, with a group hard to please! Well, I believe it was upon arrival that the 8 of us realised just how much we had hit the jackpot. The villa was amazing, situated just outside the town where it was calm and peaceful, with a beautiful pool and plenty of dining/drinking areas. Lots of space to escape each other for that little bit of 'me' time, meaning that arguments were a rarity, which is odd in our group. The kitchens were well equipped, and yet still it was the barbeque that won hands down. With the outside fridge capable of freezing my Pernod and John's cider we could enjoy the warmth of the barbeque, and the cool refreshing drinks withoug having to walk 10 metres. Also, as other reviews have pointed out, the 12 minute walk to Moraira is more of a stroll. Moraira is lovely, friendly and has stunning beaches, 3 Blue Flag beaches along one stretch, all easily reachable on foot! The food in the restaurants is lovely and the cocktail bars are brilliant - we recommend either Captain Andy's or Carambana. The whole week went smoothly and everyone agreed it was great! Despite the large amounts of warnings there was only one small series of powercuts which, to many people's relief, interrupted our viewing of Flash Gordon! It is a lovely villa, well equipped and maintained. Thank you.

I must say we all enjoyed our stay at Casita Tranquila and were sorry to leave. The villa more than lived up to our expectations with plenty of space for the 10 of us. The town was lovely with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops, without being spoilt by tourism. The teenagers took a taxi into Benidorm one evening and didn´t arrive home until 6.45am, in their words it was `Quality`. I would definitely recommend the villa to large families or groups of friends, it has everything you need. I loved it and hope to return one day. Very many thanks on behalf of us all.
