Moraira,
Javea and Calpe offer a wide range of activities.
Under normal conditions the thermals off these
three beaches seldom exceed force 4 with around
2.5 being the average. Summer winds are mostly
thermals peaking between 4pm and 6pm. The mornings
are usually very calm but occasionally summer
storms blow for several days from the East or
South West providing excellent conditions for
experienced sailors in all areas.
There
are several specialised water sports schools in
both Javea and Calpe and equipment is available
to hire in most resorts.
Although sea fishing is
prohibited in the Moraira marina, both Javea and
Calpe are a natural paradise and offer good fishing
with bass and conger for the beachcaster, especially
at night. Calpe harbour is particularly good for
Grey Mullet and in Javea the fishermen often allow
anglers to fish off their moored boats in the
evening.
