| Arriving
and Departing from your Villa |
 |
|
Your villa is normally available from 5.00pm
local time. In order that our properties are adequately
prepared for new arrivals, we must ask you to
vacate the villa by 10.00am on the day of your
departure. You are kindly asked to leave the villa
as you would expect to find it. We highly
recommend that those visitors arriving at night
take a torch.

| Assistance
in Resort |
 |
|
As an independent traveller we respect your wish
to be left alone to enjoy your holiday with minimum
interruption. We are not a package operator or
travel agent and therefore do not have agents
or representatives that attend to you throughout
your holiday period. The properties we select
are all privately owned, individually furnished
and are of a good standard, they therefore tend
to have less problems than most. In the event
that you do have a problem at the villa then we
can provide a reliable ‘on demand’
service whereby someone is at hand and will give
instructions, advice, assistance or, in the event
of a mechanical breakdown, arrange for an efficient
local tradesman to visit you as soon as possible
to attend to the problem. We do however wish to
point out that we do rely on local tradesmen and,
unlike the UK, there are no 24 hour call-out facilities.

| Building
Work – IMPORTANT |
 |
| Building
work and noise are unavoidable as the demand for
new accommodation increases. Spain is still enjoying
a building boom and therefore there is a possibility
of building or construction work which may be carried
out by local authorities or private developers of
which we have no control nor are we given prior
notice. Many villas are situated in residential
areas and a neighbour may start building a swimming
pool or wall, the local water board may decide to
drill for water in the vicinity or road works may
be in progress nearby which may result in utilities
being cut off without warning for varying periods
of time. Work can start any time of year and may
start early in the morning. As we are not given
prior notice of such work and it is not always possible
to gauge the extent of such works, we regret we
cannot advise you of the constantly changing situations
and may in some way distort our description of the
property we have considered peaceful or quiet. You
will appreciate that these situations are out of
our control. For further reference please refer
to the Terms and Conditions of villa rental. |
| |
| Deposits |
 |
| A
deposit of 30% per booking is payable at the time
of booking. Please refer to the separate Terms
and Conditions page. |
| |
| Electricity |
 |
| In
Spain the electric current is 220v. It is advisable
to take a travel adapter plug with you as most sockets
will have two pins. It is also advisable to take
a torch with you as it is not uncommon in Spain
for power cuts to occur any time day or night. |
| |
| Holiday
Insurance |
 |
| The
villa hire cost does not include any personal insurance
cover of any kind. It is a condition of booking
that insurance is taken out against cancellation
and it is strongly recommended that personal accident
and medical insurance is also taken out. |

| Insects
and Animals |
 |
|
Mosquitoes, ants and other insects are commonplace
in warmer climates. Ant powders are a good repellent
but it also helps to keep crumbs to a minimum
and to discard kitchen waste in the communal bins
daily. Some villas are surrounded by gardens and
countryside and therefore field mice and other
rodents are common. It is recommended that you
bring mosquito repellent with you, this can also
be bought in chemists locally. Many villas are
equipped with mosquito nets to some or all windows
which you will find outlined in the villa description.
We also ask you not to feed or attract stray and
wild cats and dogs into the villa grounds they
tend to have fleas and will not only irritate
members of your own party, they also destroy furnishings
and give discomfort to future visitors.
|
| |
| Inventory |
 |
|
A full inventory of all our villas is taken annually
to ensure that there is sufficient equipment for
the number of people occupying the villa, we request
that you replace any damaged items before you
leave, should this not be possible due to time
constraints then please advise us so that we may
replace them, the cost of replacement will then
be deducted from your refundable deposit. This
way the visitors following you will not be disappointed
with the equipment in the villa.

| |
| Kitchen
Equipment |
 |
| Kitchens
are generally equipped with oven and hob, a fridge
with freezer box or separate freezer section, kettle,
glasses, crockery and cutlery. Some villas have
extra facilities like a microwave or dishwasher
which will be shown in the villa description. It
should be understood that items such as glasses,
crockery and cutlery are adequately provided but
in some cases may not be provided as matching sets. |

| Lost
Property |

 |
| Please
take care to look after your belongings at all times
whilst on holiday. Should you be unfortunate enough
to leave something behind in the villa on departure,
if the item is found then there will be a small
charge to ensure that your property is returned
to you. Lemon Tree Villas cannot be held responsible
for lost items. |

| Mobile
Phones and Landline Telephones |
 |
| It
is very important that you check with your network
supplier before you leave to ensure that your mobile
phone will be operational whilst abroad.
Please note that our properties do not have the
service of a landline telephone but you will find
telephone booths in most residential areas, towns
and villages.

| Safety
on Holiday |
 |
| By
working together with our property owners, we strive
continuously to improve general safety in our portfolio
of villas. It is very important to note the following
tips to make your holiday problem free, enjoyable
and most importantly, safe.
- ensure that you know and have to hand the local
contact numbers for emergencies.
- whilst the area is generally safe, to avoid
opportunist theft it is highly advisable not to
leave villa entrance doors open or unlocked whist
your attentions are turned elsewhere in the villa,
although these happenings are rare, unfortunately
they are a fact of life throughout the world and
therefore we advise our clients to be extra vigilant
- if your accommodation has a gas cooker always
double check that it has been turned off. In most
cases you will find that gas is supplied direct
from a bottle. Should you have any concerns about
gas or your gas bottles are empty, please contact
us immediately.
- please use adequate protection against the sun’s
rays, children should especially use waterproof
sun block.
- heat, loose food and crumbs can attract unwanted
insects inside and out, please ensure that food
is cleared away when not in use and kitchen waste
is discarded in the communal waste bins daily
- pool surrounds, external and internal flooring
are often slippery when wet or walked upon with
wet feet.
- no running.
- diving is not permitted in all our swimming
pools.
- ensure that children and non-swimmers are supervised
at all times, especially around the pool and on
balconies.
- do not enter the pool after drinking alcohol.
- do not swim immediately after eating or drinking.
- always check the pool design and layout of the
pool before entering.
- find out where the deep and shallow ends are
and your height in relation to the pool depth.
- do not swim in the dark.
- hot sun, alcohol and new foods can cause stomach
upsets so bring some remedies with you from home.
- drink bottled water and avoid putting ice in
your drinks.
- it is recommended to bring insect repellent
with you.

| Satellite
/ TV / Video |
 |
| Many
of our villa owners have installed in-house entertainment
such as TV and video in their properties, the provision
of such equipment is not an integral part of your
holiday, but an additional free item. We cannot
therefore accept responsibility or guarantee the
availability or function of any such equipment.
Some TVs will receive local channels and may include
a satellite dish receiving digital satellite transmissions.
Please note that in most cases the satellite
transmissions will only receive a limited number
of channels. Satellite transmissions can be temperamental
when the electric supply is cut or tripped. Should
the memory be lost in the decoder and need re-programming
then an easy to follow step-by-step guide is provided
in the villa to take you through the reprogramming
process. It is not possible to hire smart cards
or decoders in Spain. It is worth noting that it
is also not worth bringing your own smart card from
home as each decoder has its own particular card
which will not work in any other decoder. |

| Special
Needs |
 |
| Regrettably
none of the villas are specifically adapted for
disabled visitors or those with special needs. Additionally
some properties have many steps and are less suitable
for toddlers, elderly guests and those with walking
or breathing difficulties. We have tried to give
a clear indication in our villa descriptions as
to their layout and suggest you talk to us with
regards to any special needs prior to make a booking.
Wheelchairs are available for hire locally, please
enquire for full details. |

| Swimming
Pools, Poolside Furniture and Garden Maintenance |
Back to Top |
 |
| All
the swimming pools featured on this website are
checked and cleaned on a weekly basis (twice throughout
the summer months) and cannot always be done on
changeover days. The pool maintenance personnel
may arrive whilst you are using the pool and you
may be asked to vacate the pool for about an hour
whilst it is being cleaned. They do not have fixed
time slots for their visits and therefore can arrive
any time of day. All swimming pools should be clear
so that you can see the bottom but this does not
include leaves or insects. A net is provided by
the pool for the removal of these.
All garden furniture
are free items, therefore the availability or
function of any such item cannot be guaranteed.
Poolside sun loungers and garden furniture
do not normally have cushions as they quickly
become unsightly due to sun cream and chlorine
staining. Sun umbrellas are not standard equipment
although these may be provided at some villas
as outlined in the villa descriptions. Shared
pools do not have poolside furniture but may be
provided as part of the property, again please
refer to the villa description. Furniture or sun
umbrellas should not be taken away from the property,
should you need equipment for the beach then this
should be bought locally.
Gardens are maintained on a regular basis. Gardeners
attending their duties will be as discrete as
possible.
